Blog

Dear Art Friends,

This is an introduction to my art blog. I have wanted to do this for a long time because between commissions and large gallery paintings I do little oil sketches of ideas for future paintings or just small things of beauty that strike me at odd moments. Because I paint every day, after a while, these little canvases add up. So I thought I would share them with you. I will be sending them out about every week or two. If you enjoy them, please forward them to friends on your email list. If you do not want to be bothered, no problem just cancel the blog.

So, please consider joining my weekly newsletter (see link below).

Thanks, Nancy Paris Pruden

WITH HELP FROM YOUR FRIENDS

Thank you so much for supporting Kathy and me Friday night at the Reeves Gallery opening! It is so very gratifying to have good longtime friends who show up for you! And hopefully, everyone had a good time as well! I do love a party, and like my mother used to say, "We will show up for the opening of an envelope!" The show will be up until February 24 so if you can, please come by 2415 Taft this month. We are feeling the Love...

Happy Valentine's Day!

REEVES GALLERY, HOUSTON, FEB. 9

Two Openings 6 days apart; What a Week! Just got back from Fredericksburg at The Good Art Company Show where my first big painting sold before the show opened! The "15 Anniversary" party was so much fun but no time to bask in that glory as Reeves Gallery is hanging Kathy Love's and my art today. This is a huge show for both of us. They have chosen work from 30 years of painting. When did I get so OLD? Above is a plein air I did recently and below is a still Life I did 20 years ago. I hope everyone will come this Friday, February 9 from 6:00-9:00 but the show will be up for the month. Thanks for all your support! Reeves Gallery's address is 2415 Taft on the corner of Fairview and Taft.
